At Nationwide we call this transforming into a “digital powerhouse.” Many agents are already making this transition, with 80% saying they have changed the way they sell or market to clients during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a recent Nationwide survey of independent agents. Still, some agents are struggling to adapt, with six in ten saying they have faced challenges with shifting their agency’s marketing to a more digital-based approach, and 69% indicating they are struggling to develop new business in the current environment. TikTok Indonesia has appointed Veriyanta Kusuma for brand strategy duties. Kusuma (pictured) was most recently the head of community and social marketing at Traveloka, and has left after over two years. Marketing Interactive has reached out to TikTok for additional information.
According to LinkedIn as head of community and social marketing, Kusuma was tasked to lead the development and execution of a social media and community marketing strategy which supports Traveloka business objectives across all business units and markets in Southeast Asia, Australia, and rest of the world. He was also tasked to orchestrate social media content and engagement, influencer partnership, community engagement and activations, social insights and analytics, along with paid and owned media for brand, product and customer marketing. Additionally, Kusuma managed a marketing centre of excellence which sets standard and governance in Traveloka marketing practices to ensure the initiatives are globally aligned and producing optimum outcome.

(Source: Getty)MoreDemand for those with programming, coding and engineering skills has virtually doubled during the coronavirus pandemic, a new report has revealed.According to Freelancer.com’s latest Fast50 report, the volume of work opportunities in the gig economy is rising, with the number of jobs on Freelancer rising 41 per cent in the second quarter of 2020 compared to the same time period in 2019, from 429,000 to 605,000.And those with skills in mathematical modelling, specifically in Matlab and Mathematica saw demand nearly double (99.6 per cent), followed closely by those with application programming interface (API) skills (91 per cent).Those with skills in XML, a language very similar to but more flexible than HTML, saw the third-greatest rise in demand (89.9 per cent), while those with project management skills saw Freelancer jobs requesting their skills rise by 86.2 per cent.Mechanical, electrical and civil engineering gigs also rose significantly, as well as those with statistical skills, legal research skills and game design and development skills.According to Freelancer, the rise in data crunching skills comes from the higher volume of data being tracked and analysed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.Major …
