Suspect arrested in stabbing death of Portland business owner Matthew Choi

U. S. marshals and Portland police arrested a 30-year-old man Wednesday, accusing him of stabbing to death a well-known local business owner. Matthew Choi, 33, was a fixture in the Portland Farmers Market community, selling his Choi’s Kimchi. Choi was stabbed to death in his Southeast Portland apartment building in the Buckman neighborhood Sunday, Oct. 25. Police identified Allen Coe as the suspect and took him into custody. They said Choi and Coe lived in the same apartment complex.
