Basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal hung up his shoes from the competitive game at the end of the 2010-2011 NBA Season, but the man known by the single nickname Shaq remains one of the most interesting voices in sports, nearly a decade after retirement.
But the 15-time All-Star, four-time NBA champion, and Pro Basketball Hall of Famer also has a notable voice when it comes to business.
Since leaving the court he’s been not just as a commercial pitchman but also an active investor in businesses that span everything from real estate and esports to home security tech and food. Most notably, Shaq joined the Papa John’s board of directors after expanding his own footprint of the pizza chain’s stores in the Atlanta area.
