You can’t get change if you keep voting the same way. I am a life-long Minnesotan and a Duluthian since 1973. I am grateful for the many long-term business and community relationships that have allowed me to develop a wide base of experience and insight into the many issues we Northlanders face today. I know firsthand the challenges and rewards of running a business. In my history, I have owned and operated two downtown Duluth restaurants, the Phase II health club, and Karate North martial arts studio. In addition, I’ve owned and managed several single- and multi-family rental properties. I spent 15 years working for Cirrus Aircraft as a salesman and corporate pilot. I’m currently employed as a commercial corporate pilot for United Piping, Inc. I am sought out nationally for my flight instruction. As a corporate pilot, I’m able to travel throughout our country, meeting many people, from workers to executives. I hear many different views about how to solve problems and benefit from opportunities. This has given me a broader perspective and taught me to respect all viewpoints.
