Kaiser’s new medical offices in Hesperia comes with modern touch, local flare

Thursday’s early morning sun reflected off the tinted windows of the newly erected building in Hesperia in such a way that, at the right angle, the exterior’s three stories glistened like a pearl in a desert sand. On the ground below, masked construction workers continued their progress in and outside the Kaiser Permanente Medical Office Building on the corner of Escondido Avenue and a new road dubbed Kaiser Permanente Way.“We’re putting the finishing touches on the building,” Kaiser spokeswoman Gwen Kleist told the Daily Press. “We’ll be open for our members at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.”Kleist said a private virtual grand opening will take place online the same day. It will include a ribbon cutting, virtual tour, Kaiser Permanente check presentation to the High Desert Food Collaborative and an address by hospital officials and Hesperia Mayor Larry Bird. Construction crews broke ground on the 54,000-square-foot building in November 2019.
