Facebook has a new acquisition, and this time, it is with Ready At Dawn Studios, the makers of Lone Echo virtual reality game series, and the console games like The Order: 1888, Venture Beat reported.
The partnerships came on the same day Facebook Gaming announced it is accepting the transfer of viewers and streamers since Microsoft said it is shutting down the Mixer live streaming platform on July 22.
Now, Facebook is given more opportunities to offer social networking for gamers and virtual reality players on Oculus VR headsets.
Ready At Dawn Studios CEO Ru Weerasuriya said in a tweet, “Nearly 17 years ago, we embarked on a journey to build a game studio. Along the way, we innovated on genres, experiences, games and platforms. Today, we’re excited to join the Facebook family as we open a new chapter in our story and continue to pursue our passions #WeAreRAD”
