To determine the RSS feed for a  YouTube channel:

  1. View the page source for the YouTube channel (right click on the page and click “view page source”

To determine the RSS feed for a YouTube playlist:

1. Feedzy RSS Feeds

Feedzy RSS Feeds

Feedzy comes in two variants: free and premium. The free version lets you embed RSS feeds as a shortcode, but if you want true auto-blogging where you import feed items as actual posts, you’ll need the $149 premium version.

With the premium version, you can add feed items to posts, pages, and custom content types. The plugin even extracts product prices and other elements from custom feed tags.

Details like featured images, post status and type, excerpts, text length, quantity, or layout (Feedzy provides three different templates) are totally up to you. If you want to import only HTTPS images (and not HTTP), Feedzy will detect them for you.

Furthermore, you can choose to filter the articles that appear in your feed by keywords. You can either only include articles with certain keywords, or exclude all articles with certain keywords (or both!). And if you want to monetize your auto-blogging, you can automatically add affiliate/referral links to the posts. Removing the ‘dofollow’ tag from links in a single feed is also an option.

And an even more awesome part about Feedzy is that it is optimized to match the latest trends in the WordPress market. It comes integrated with Elementor and Gutenberg (for front-end customization), and with WordAI and SpinnerChief – two tools that can edit/rewrite the imported posts in a human-friendly style (in case you don’t want to use duplicate content on your site).

And if your chosen RSS feed only offers excerpts, Feedzy includes a feature that lets you still extract the full text.

Get this plugin if you need a powerful set of features embedded in a lightweight interface. Despite being an optimal solution for personal blogs, we recommend it to business owners who want to grow their websites for professional purposes and monetize their work. Bonus: if you love page builders, then this is one of the best auto-blogging plugins that you’ll find.

2. WP RSS Aggregator

Being one of the best auto-blogging plugins, WP RSS Aggregator is very simple to set up and customize. Apart from importing unlimited feeds from multiple sources, you can narrow your feed posts by publication date, the number of items per feed/import. Moreover, you can add custom feed URL and title, and decide the import order and processing interval.

While the free version lets you embed RSS feeds with a shortcode, you’ll need the paid Feed to Post add-on to actually start auto-blogging and import feed items as WordPress posts, pages, or custom post types.

With the Advanced Feeds bundle, you’ll also be able to import the full text, even if the RSS feed only includes excerpts. And you also gain the ability to filter feed items by keyword (including both include and exclude options):

To avoid any negative performance impact, WP RSS Aggregator also lets you set how often to import new content. And you can easily add HTML before/after imported content, as well as choose whether or not to credit the original source.

Get this plugin if you need a friendly interface but don’t feel like spending much time in making it work.

3. WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher

In this plugin, the feeds are called campaigns. So, in order to create feeds you need to start a campaign. The “Create Campaign” page is really interesting because it provides lots of options, displayed in colorful bars and blocks. The plugin has three post types: posts, pages, and media.

One nice feature of the campaign approach is that you can add multiple feeds to a single campaign (rather than having to add feeds separately like a lot of the other best auto-blogging plugins).

With WPeMatico, you can enable comments, pingbacks and trackbacks, the publication date of the original content, and automatically remove the links and the HTML tags from the imported content (which is very useful if you don’t want spammy links on your site).

Another nice feature of this plugin is that you have lots of options for scheduling campaigns (by weekday, month, day, hour, and minute). And you can always pause or reset the post count when you want to.

Each campaign has lots of options for the media that accompanies the imported content: images, audios, and videos. If you want to use a template that’s not provided by default, you can modify, arrange, or add extra content to every fetched post.

Aside from articles, the plugin also has a YouTube Fetcher for people who want to import videos instead of written content.

? Get this plugin if you need flexibility in terms of content variety, templates, and time schedule (you can set the tool to update/publish at an exact hour and day).

4. CyberSyn

As far as free options go, CyberSyn is one of the best auto-blogging plugins that you’ll find.

This plugin is simple and slightly different from the aforementioned ones. Install it, set up your preferences (as in check a few boxes), and it will just work. You can either put it on autopilot (it will extract and publish the feeds by itself) or you can do it manually when you need more control over the articles that get published.

To add your feeds, just go to CyberSyn -> RSS/Atom Syndicator -> copy/paste the feed -> Syndicate. After you click Syndicate, a page with details will open up and you can set your preferences related to the given feed.

What can you do with CyberSyn? You can extract the full version of an article (as seen in the picture below), group feeds by categories, create tags, set the post status and number, accept/reject pings and comments from the users, generate thumbnails and media attachments (the images will be stored locally), set the maximum number of words for each excerpt, and embed the videos that exist in the original article.

It also includes a unique feature that lets you translate the imported feeds via Google Translate or Yandex Translate, as well as check the articles for duplicates and rewrite them with several spinner tools that it comes integrated with.

A nice thing about CyberSyn is that it can import many types of content including CSV tables, HTML documents, and JSON files. It extracts various types of feeds such as eBay feeds, XML, videos from YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion, content from Yahoo, Flickr, and more.

Get this plugin if you want the ability to extract full text RSS feeds and import feed items as posts for free. Most other auto-blogging plugins charge for both of these features.

5. WP Pipes

WP Pipes WP Pipes

Current Version: 1.33

Last Updated: December 28, 2018

wp-pipes.zip

This plugin refers to feeds as pipes.

With it, you get a simple visual interface where you can choose to get the full text instead of excerpts, cut the intro, filter by keywords, get the images, or show the original source.

In the destination input, you can choose how to display the feeds on your website. You can modify parameters like title, slug, excerpt, content, date, images, category, and meta key.

After you have added all the options, click on Test This Pipe and a progress bar will show what posts are getting imported to your site (from here, you can edit them as your own posts or pages). The feed items will also appear live as blog posts.

Get this plugin if the aesthetic feature (aka the way you showcase the posts on your site) is not your number one thing. If you’re more of a back-end person who prefers to collect the articles for their own interest – before getting them published – then you just found your tool.

6. WordPress Automatic Plugin

WordPress Automatic Plugin makes its way on to the best auto-blogging plugins list because of the sheer number of import options it has. Beyond regular articles, it supports a whole range of other options: Amazon and Walmart products, YouTube, Vimeo, and DailyMotion videos, Flickr and Instagram images, eBay auctions, social media posts (tweets, pins, Reddit and Facebook posts), classifieds from Craigslist, iTunes content (such as songs, podcasts, apps, eBooks), SoundCloud songs, and even Envato items.

In other words, a lot of golden stuff especially for niche websites.

Beyond the option to choose your content source, you have the possibility to filter the content (by author, category, tag), so you won’t have to publish everything that gets posted on your chosen source.

You also have control over the post template, status, type, format, and the images that you want the plugin to fetch with the posts. Moreover, the plugin comes with advanced rewriting and translation options; it even replaces specific words automatically if there’s something that you want to avoid mentioning on your site.

Get this plugin if you have a multipurpose business and are interested in sharing content from the biggest brands in the world within a few clicks – the tool has all the aforementioned sources integrated, while it also generates the sections and categories from each website.

7. WP Crawler

WP Crawler is another flexible plugin that was built to import a large variety of content on autopilot. You can publish design collections from Dribble or Behance, product lists from Amazon or Alibaba, photo showcase from Flickr or Unsplash, apps, social posts based on hashtags, WordPress themes, and lots of other resources.

It’s also easy to use. All you need to do is to add your sources, choose your preferred options, and run the crawler. You can get the data from other websites by using the HTML selectors and attributes; then set the post status, category, and type and also check the text for duplicates. The plugin lets you extract data from unlimited sources.

If you don’t want the crawler to post randomly, you can schedule it to run once per hour, twice a day, or daily.

Get this plugin if you’re looking for a flexible and intuitive interface. By flexibility, I mean: 1) you can post from a large range of internet sources and content types (including media and social platforms); 2) you can schedule the tool to publish at the exact time you wish; 3) it only requires a few steps to set it up.

So this is our selection of the best auto-blogging plugins for WordPress. Have you ever tried any of them? And if you think that we missed any important plugin, let us know that, too in the comments below! We are curious folks.

How To Fix Missing WooCommerce Order Numbers

Missing-WooCommerce-Order-Numbers
One of our WordPress clients was recently concerned that there were gaps in the ID numbers of the orders on her WooCommerce website.
At first, I assumed that the missing order numbers were due to some test orders that we had deleted as part of the web design process. However, it kept happening so we investigated and discovered a simple plugin to fix the problem.

Why are my WooCommerce order numbers not sequential?

The answer is fairly obvious if you know how WordPress works behind the scenes. However it wasn’t obvious to me – and millions of people use WooCommerce, so I’m sure I wasn’t alone. I’m writing this post for anyone who is wondering about missing order numbers on their WooCommerce website.
Gaps in WooCommerce order numbers are not caused by a bug or error with the website. In fact, order numbers are not supposed to be sequential.
The way it works is that EVERY item in the WordPress database is given a unique ID number, which is allocated sequentially. This includes orders, pages, posts, images etc. so the numbers are not just used for orders.
For example, someone may place an order which is assigned the ID 17004 and then you might add a new post which is given the ID 17005. The next person who places an order will be assigned the ID 17006, so 17005 will look like a missing order number. It’s not a missing order number – 17005 has simply been used for a post instead of an order.
This means that looking at the order numbers is not a good way to track your WooCommerce orders.

What’s the alternative?

The WooCommerce Sequential Order Numbers plugin fixes the problem. It allocates custom order numbers to your WooCommerce orders. These are sequential  – with no gaps – as they’re not used for anything else. They work by creating a dedicated ‘order number’ field in the database which is separate from the WordPress ID.
This simple plugin is really handy if you want your WooCommerce orders to be sequential.
To get the plugin all you have to do is log into your WordPress Dashboard and select PLUGINS >>> ADD NEW and search for the term WooCommerce Sequential Order Numbers.  Then select to install.  You will be automatically redirected to the plugin page where you will then select to activate it.  That’s it, now all your order numbers will be sequential.  NOTE:  The plugin will not retroactively change any orders you have already processed.

How to Use an Android Phone As a Webcam For PC [Windows & Linux].

For most people a video call such as MSN or Skype, Google+ hangout or a video chat is something occasional. And when you want to start one, you need a webcam. But why spend money for a separate webcam when you can easily use your android phone’s camera as a webcam?
The process involves streaming video from your phone to a particular port on your PC and having a PC driver software capture it and provide it as webcam video to any application that needs webcam access.
Don’t get scared with the details. Its actually very easy and there are two ways to do it.

1. Use your android phone as webcam using Wifi.

Here, you phone video will be streamed and made available to your PC applications via WiFi. This is the easiest and most flexible way to do it.
Requirement –  both your computer and your android phone should be connected to the same network with android connected via WiFi. That means you can either –

Once your phone is connected to the same PC network via wifi, follow these steps –

  1. From android market in your phone, install IP Webcam.
  2. Open the app and you will get the configuration screen where you can set the options for port, sound, video quality and username/password.
  3. The default options are good enough, so scroll down and click on he “Start server” option.
  4. Ip Webcam will now open your camera and start streaming the video to a particular IP address and port. Click on the “How do I connect” button appearing on the top left  and choose “I’m using Wi-fi router” to get this IP address and port. You will get some thing like “http://10.42.43.89:8080“.
  5. Note this address down and type it in your PC web browser. You will get a page with links for various ways in which you can use your new webcam. From the list, you need to use either of the two links.
    • Connect to PC for use with Skype and other videochats on Windows.
    • Connect to PC for use with Skype and other videochats on Ubuntu GNU/Linux

Depending on your operating system (Windows or Linux), use the links to download and install the webcam driver on your PC.
Windows – For windows, the driver comes as an easy installer.
Linux – For Linux, it comes as a script which you need to run in a terminal as root. Before running, change the value of the variable “WIFI_IP=” to the ip address from IP Webcam in the script. Make sure the computer is connected to the Internet when you run the script the first time. It will try to download and install additional files if your linux doesn’t already have them. You need to run this script every time you want to use your android as webcam.
That’s it. Now open Skype, Google+ hangout or any other video call application and for the video section, choose the webcam driver you just installed and  start it. Here’s a Google+ hangout with my android as webcam in Linux.

Tip: For Linux, disabling sound in IP Webcam settings could make the driver not to work.

2. Use your android phone as webcam using USB.

You can use your android as webcam even without wifi by connecting it to your PC via USB. But doing this requires extra work because android can communicate with PC via USB only in debugging mode by using adb.
Also, for USB mode, we need another app called DroidCam. Although the earlier IP Webcam app is more popular, it is more or less limited to WiFi connections especially for windows. So lets see how to  configure your android as a webcam via USB –

  • Setup your phone in debugging mode (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging).
  • Connect the phone to your computer via USB (don’t select storage mode if the phone asks while connecting USB).
  • Download DroidCam from android market, install it and open it on your phone. It will show a “Starting server” message.
  • Download and install the client application in your computer from Dev47Apps.
  • Start the DroidCam client and choose the “USB” option or button.

That’s it. DroidCam will now open the camera on your phone and you can use it as webcam on your PC. Just configure the video settings of your video call application to use “DroidCam” driver. Here’s my Google+ hangout with video from my android phone connected via USB.

For Linux, you can use the IP Webcam app as well. Just connect your phone via USB in debugging mode to your computer and start the driver script. It will detect and use adb to initiate a connection using USB automatically. Continue reading “How to Use an Android Phone As a Webcam For PC [Windows & Linux].”

IAM Platform Influencer and Super Stars Qualifications

Hello Everyone!

Some of you have noticed that we began a new tier of promotion for a certain classification of individuals who have achieved a certain level of influence and engagement with IAM Platform.  These are the true Super Stars and their metrics prove it.

Some of you also have asked that we clarify what this new list is and what it is all about.  We understand achievers like you all will want to wrap your head around it so here goes.

The point of this list is to single out true Super Stars.  As always STATS rule here.  While we understand you may be famous, engagement is the metric we use to establish this list.  Name recognition is great, but if you don’t engage then, well, you are sort of invisible while being present.  That’s not good in a SOCIAL situation.  So we designed and launched a branding service called #TopInfluence which allows anyone who has 10K or more Twitter Followers to receive a FREE promotional package (worth some $$$) and all we ask is that you do a few things in return.

FOR #TOPINFLUENCE ENTRY

  1. You must have 10 K or more followers
  2. You must NOT mute IAM Platform ( anti-social and keeps you from doing #3).
  3. You are encouraged to engage (retweet, reply, like, follow, click links, click hashtags, open media, etc.).  We base our engagement metrics on your engagement while on IAM Platform ONLY.  Without this kind of engagement, you cannot qualify as a Super Star.
  4. You must remain a follower of IAM Platform.

FOR SUPER STAR ENTRY – All of the #TopInfluence entry qualifications plus:

  1. You must have 200K or more followers AND/OR
  2. You must win the Monthly Retweet Reach Contest (Monthly Retweet Contest focuses on tweets that feature you that you have retweeted to your followers.  When you retweet content we produce that features you, we receive an impression count of all the followers of yours that viewed the retweet.  We tally that up and in this manner, we are able to gauge your true influence and reach.  Robots and fake followers will not register an impression because it uses the Twitter “View” parameters to qualify impressions.  We are truly interested in PEOPLE who actually see your tweets and retweets – our definition of influence).
  3. You can be on the list with less than 200K followers with a Monthly Retweet Reach Win.
  4. You cannot be on the list unless you have a Monthly Retweet Reach Win regardless of how many followers you have.
  5. You must not MUTE IAM Platform

So what content are we talking about that you have to engage with in order to qualify for free promotion of you or your brand?

We have various information products that we produce using our own tools, tools created by third parties, and Twitter in order to understand your engagement metrics.  These engagement metrics allow us to orient our curation, tips, tools, reviews, products, and services in such a way that everyone benefits from the growth directions these metrics “teach” us we can all go in together.  Currently, this has resulted in the following action points  from which we leverage value:

  1. Big ShoutOut – this is a professionally crafted bio of you and your expertise niche (best we can do on Twitter anyway).  This is tweeted and then saved to a “Moment” which allows us to evergreen this content on a weekly basis when Twitter “resets” the retweetability of that tweet.  The initial tweet, as well as the ensuing retweets, allow us to gauge our native network response to your “influence” as well as the remote response to your “influence” on your own networks through your retweet of content we produce featuring you.  This applies to all the content that we produce which will be listed below.
  2. #Cool2Follow – This is a segmentation of the total field of vetted influencers who, in groups of five, are placed in this spot on any tweet we craft manually.  This allows us to monitor your influence on that tweet through engagement targeted at your Twitter Username (replies, retweets, likes, link clicks – yes Twitter considers your @username as a link click).
  3. Thank yous – These are generated each time someone follows, likes, retweets or replies to anything that mentions our @username.
  4. Stats Blast – Detailed statistics on your account and activity from ALL activity across Twitter and on the IAM Platform.
  5. Recommended Connects – Stats will show us who is compatible and who is not and we offer these recommendations to you either in a tweet or DM whichever you prefer.
  6. Retweet your latest ten tweets and your pinned tweet – We will retweet your last ten tweets on a given day that we choose.  If you want them posted at the ideal time for your channel, then that is not free, but we can discuss this.
  7. #TopInfluence #TwitterChat – our weekly TwitterChat using the hashtag #TopInfluence where we discuss all things influence and more.  While you can get a focused session on Wednesdays starting at 1PM and ending whenever our fingers fall off, we recommend that you monitor that hashtag all throughout the week because influencers like you are encouraged to post to that hashtag on all things influence.
  8. Audacity Kings and Queens List – our yearly ranking list of those who have audaciously engaged and show real initiative in methods of engagement.
  9. Professionally crafted partnership promotions – we will collaborate with anyone and create professional creatives for that collaboration as long as there is clear value present for both parties.
  10. Speaking engagements – we will collaborate with anyone and create professional topics for discussion and carry forth that speaking engagement as long as it results in a clear and present value for both parties.
  11. Podcasts and video – we will collaborate with anyone and create professional sessions and video content on defined topics and carry forth the sharing or collaboration as long as there is demonstrable value for both parties.

This list is growing daily.  There is an opportunity for “plugs” to be inserted anywhere and everywhere in any of these directions we are going with our products and services.  We insert those plugs as you earn them by participating on the IAM Platform.

So it’s not a trophy for everyone, but it is meritocratic.  As you participate your metrics show it and you receive a promotion.  We will always inform you of any promotion that you are qualified for and you can refuse to participate at any time.  If you refuse to participate AFTER a promotion is run, we cannot remove you from any promotions that have already run.  They are part of the Twittersphere, presumably forever.

We offer both FREE and PAID products and services, just like anyone else does.  So if you ever want to know more, ether pop over to our corporate website, or DM us.  We would be happy to discuss any project you have in mind from web development, app development, and data analysis to SMM and more.  We are the World’s Largest Information Professional’s Network.  If it needs to be done, we can get it done, together.  Ultimately we leverage the social in social media.  That is a powerful thing.  As we all participate we all grow this platform and that is power that all of us can use.

Again, if you have any questions, just reach out to us via DM or email at admin@iammarketingmedia.com.  Either way, we are quick to answer.  You can also reach us at www.facebook.com/iamplatform using Messenger.

The point of all this is to provide a place where influencers can go to SAFELY interact with vetted individuals who will not spam them and who will do no harm.  That is worth something to everyone, so let’s build this together.  Plus as we go along we can teach others and help them see that methods that harm do not have to be used if we all participate together to help each other.

See you on the Platform and thanks for listening.

All my very best always,

Benjamin Alexander De Mers

Influencers Don’t Ignore LinkedIn.

I had a moment.

Speaking in a Webinar in early 2017 I was actually caught saying what I legitimately thought (at the time) about LinkedIn.  My response? “Resume repository.”  Yep.  That was what I sincerely believed.  Great reference, that’s about it.

Ugh.  But in my defense, LinkedIn has improved TREMENDOUSLY in the past year and now it is time to revisit this assessment.  Long story short?  LinkedIn has come alive guys and gals!

Linkedin is the Facebook for Professionals.  It’s a different bird, so don’t do what you do on Facebook on LinkedIn.  You need to have filters that address the professional marketplace.  You can be candid, you can’t be stupid.  Remember, you are presenting the professional side of yourself in a personal way.  That said, LinkedIn has over 400 million members worldwide!  That’s one in three professionals worldwide.  That is NOT unimportant.   Why?  Because that kind of engagement is always important and learning how to engage that engagement is what makes you an influencer!

With my deeply felt apology in place and my explanation for why I thought that way, let’s delve into some ways that you can improve your LinkedIn Presence and dominate your information on that platform.  In the next section, we will give you a numbered list of things that if you are going big on LinkedIn you should expect from that effort (and if you are not getting these things from LinkedIn, then you are not doing something right).

  1. Leads.  You should be getting leads from your profile on LinkedIn.  I am NOT talking about the endless stream of spam emails you will inevitably get in your LinkedIn inbox.  I AM talking about the interactions you will have with legitimate GROUPS you join to engage professionals in your field or are seeking professionals like you in your field (for services).
  2. Credibility and authority.  You should be using your profile and engagement on LinkedIn to push your expertise in your chosen niche.  This provides engagement that backs that up.  If you are not getting this kind of feedback then you are not doing something right.
  3. Vetting.  Guess what?  LinkedIn owns the professional space on Google search.  Fact.  When people search for your name, the chance that your LinkedIn Profile is going to come up on page one is pretty much 100% (unless there are a lot of people with your same name – but that means you should use your full name on your resume – hint: that is why I do).  Simply put, LinkedIn power on Google should broadcast your verification of you.  It is your ID and a very, very reputable one.  Use it.  If you are not concerned about this, you should be.

Finally here are some things you can do to make sure you have “done it right.”

  1. Complete your profile.  There is a completion meter and help prompts to help you on your journey to completion.  Just be sure to be TRUTHFUL and TRANSPARENT when you enter information.  Nothing screams NO when considering you than information about you that is not backed up with verifiable trace.  Example: your education should lead to an actual institution, not “School of hard knocks” or “University of life”.  If you don’t have anything that can be traced back to something concrete and institutional, don’t list it.
  2. LinkedIn allows you to have a personalized URL.  Be sure to claim yours using the easy four-step process for doing so.  It reinforces your brand.
  3. Get a good profile pic and post it.
  4. Find and upload a relevant and high-quality background image.
  5. Be sure four and five are color compatible.
  6. Get a professionally produced video about your personal brand and post it in your details section.
  7. Documentation beats conversation, every time.  If you can back it up, then do so, every time.
  8. Personalize, personalize, personalize.  Use YOUR voice, not some distant third person who will only serve to put them to sleep.  The third person is drone person.  Zombie person.  You are not a zombie (or at least I hope not, lol).  Neither is your profile.  Be personable, tell your story in your way with your words.  Make them want to read your story and then make sure you do that in a way that presents your value.  The best way to do that is to make your story make them think and consider you as an option for something they need.

I Hope you enjoyed this little exercise in expanding your LinkedIn Presence.  If you did then, please CONNECT WITH ME on LinkedIn!  View my profile for a look at this in action.  Further, if you liked this kind of dominance of your information get more on my Twitter corporate page and my personal page.

See you on the IN side.  Stay hungry and open to new knowledge.  If we are not learning, we are dying.  Literally.  Dominate your information folks.

Influencers Don't Ignore LinkedIn.

  3. How To Get Twitter Followers: Simple Tricks and Tips That Just Work.

So you tried buying followers and while you got bigger numbers, you got ZERO engagement, and now engagement is the ONLY metric that matters.  You tried following everyone you could only to see yourself spammed, banned, muted and suspended by Twitter.  You tried all the third party “tools”, “tips” and “tricks of the trade” and found yourself, once again, spammed, banned, muted and suspended by Twitter (strike two).

You are frustrated and looking for answers because even if these other methods did not work, they cost you money and time and a whole lot of effort.  You want to make good on your passion.  So how do you do it?

Here are some tried and true tips and tricks that do not involve anything you have to cheat to win at and cannot possibly get you spammed, banned, muted or suspended by Twitter.  And they just work.

Following these steps will allow you to gain followers that are relevant and want to engage with your content.  Hint: it’s called organic growth.

Step 1:  share content that is professionally curated and formatted.

Step 2: tweet when your tweets are most seen.

Step 3: tweet the correct amount of times.

Step 4: tweet with a schedule.

Step 5: curate, curate, curate.

Step 6: don’t be pushy.

Step7: be funny (when possible and appropriate).

Step 8: be concise yet effective.

Step 9: use visuals (pics and videos that attract).

Step 10: use Twitter Video.

Step 11: include a question in your tweet.

Step 12: include a timely and relevant poll in your tweet.

Step 13: make your bio and profile SEO friendly.

Step 14: make use of your “pinned tweet” feature.  Use your best content or advertise for yourself here (but DO NOT be pushy.  Use compelling creative, like a professionally produced intro video :))

Step 15: Make sure that your header and bios on other Social Media announce your Twitter presence.

Step 16: use a service to help you embed your Twitter feed in your website and blog posts.

Step 17: use a service to put a button that leads your audience to your Twitter feed from your website or blog.

Step 18: use powerful hashtags.  Powerful hashtags are ones that are trending in your area of expertise.

Step 19: use the power of relevant and appropriate mentions of influencers in your niche.

Step 20: reach out to and collaborate with influencers in your niche.

Step 21: be a community maven.  Join Groups on Facebook that are in your niche and promote your Twitter feed.

Step 22: go to live events and do a live Tweet event on your feed!  Makes you an instant star and expert.

Step 23: the appropriate following of appropriate and researched people in your niche.

Step 24: import your email contacts to Twitter and follow them.

Step 25: master Twitter Advanced Search to find people who you resonate with.  See our article on Mastering Twitter Advanced Search.

Step 26: help others get famous.  Helping others is promoting you too.

Step 27: DO NOT BUY FAKE FOLLOWERS.  Crap engagement is the first sign everyone is looking for to pin you as a fake follower buyer.

Step 28: be a notifications hawk and respond to every single comment and mention and retweet and reply.

Step 29: use TwitterChats and trending hashtags which you can find in your left sidebar at any time.  Interact, make lists of those who attend and start interacting with them.

Step 30: curate your content so that you are a trusted source of information.

Step 31: start talking and join in on conversations in your industry.  Nobody likes a silent poster.  They think you are a bot.

Step32: master and use Twitter Lists.  Period.

Step 33: be the host of a TwitterChat.  Create a hashtag that resonates with your niche and invite people to attend.  Set a structure for your TwitterChat so it does not get confusing or hard to interact.  Hosts only should ask questions while attendees will answer them in a format of Q: and A:.

Step 34: reshare the content that resonates best with your audience.  Some call this evergreening.  Just be sure to pay attention to Twitter Rules on resharing.  Retweeting is fine, but it is not fine to share the same content twice.

Step 35: do comparison posting.  This means that you do comparison marketing on content to find the best combination of content materials that resonate with your audience.  Color, subject, creatives, etc.  Mix it up till you get that bang.

Step 36: try incentives.  Do contests where people win swag or services you offer in exchange for their follow or retweet.  Just be sure to deliver and keep doing so or they will can you.

Step 37: use Twitter Ads to run promotion.  Try the new Promotion Mode from Twitter.  It’s cheaper than buying followers and you are going to get massive engagement if you content resonates.

Step 38: if you have employees be sure to make them your promotion army.

Step 39: master the Twitter Algorithm and use it wisely grasshopper.  See our article on how to Master the Twitter Algorithm.

Step 40: learn how to use your Twitter Analytics Dashboard and use that knowledge to inform how you tweet, when you tweet, what content you tweet when and to whom, etc.

There you have it.  40 great tips and tricks that do not involve cheating that will keep you plenty busy and provide solid results.  If you follow these steps you will have between 25 and 75 followers every day that stick and engage with you.

Finally, REMEMBER THIS:  it is not the number of followers that you have that matters.  It is the engagement with your content that matters.  Imagine someone with just 4K followers who gets hundreds of engagements on each post!  That is someone that advertisers are going to want to talk to for contracts on posting on your account.  And this can mean a good side hustle for you and as you continue to build your presence on your social media could turn into a dream come true as you mature into SMM and become an influencer and personal brand.

I hope this tutorial was helpful.  If it was, make sure you follow us on Twitter for even more great advice!
