FINAL ROUNDVirginia Tech women’s golfer Becca DiNunzio posted a three-round total of 222 and was the runner-up at the Women’s Griffin Amateur on Sunday afternoon. The three-day event was played at the par 72, 6,225-yard East Course of the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.
 
DiNunzio, a sophomore from Norfolk, Virginia, fired a final-round 1-under 71. She finished five strokes behind medalist Lauren Walsh of Wake Forest. DiNunzio’s 71 was tied for the lowest round in the tournament on Sunday. 
 
Emily Mahar, a senior from Brisbane, Australia, tied for fourth at 224 and Jessica Spicer, a fifth-year player from Bahama, North Carolina, tied for eighth at 226. Alyssa Montgomery, a sophomore from Knoxville, Tennessee, finished in 12thplace at 229 and Sarah Spicer, a fifth-year player from Bahama, North Carolina, finished in 18thplace at 232.
